Bespoke Study in Hertfordshire

The commission was to furnish a private study with an integrated suite of pedestal desk, shelving for both function and display, and secure housing for the owner’s 12 guns. Set in an L-shape over two walls, and including the radiator housing under the window, solid American black walnut was polished to a deep lustre to emphasise its beautiful grain, with premium quality adjustable glass shelving adding a lightness of touch and optimising the natural light from the window.

The guns are stored in the security glass fronted display cabinet that forms the centrepiece of the integrated design. Featuring internal LED lighting when desired, and a remote control blind when discretion is the priority, this provides an impressive focal point. The integral ammunition drawers are equally secure, with antique brass used for all handles and drawer pulls.
